Prof. Dr. Kimmo Lylykangas

Kimmo Lylykangas (born 1970 in Helsinki) is Finnish architect who since 2018 works as professor of architecture and the head of Academy of Architecture and Urban Studies at Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. Currently his research team is working on a variety of greenhouse gas quantification methods and tools that are developed as open source projects. Prof. Dr. Chengchu Yan

Chengchu Yan is Professor and Dean of the School of Urban Construction at Nanjing Tech University. He serves as the Director of the Youth Committee of the Jiangsu Refrigeration Society, China. He is an editorial board member of the “Journal of Nanjing Tech University”, guest editor for “Sustainability”, and a reviewer for over 10 journals. His primary research areas include green buildings, renewable energy utilization, building simulation and HVAC modelling. He aims to develop effective online calibration and data reconstruction methods for improving the measurement accuracy and data quality of HVAC systems. He has published over 60 papers, including 7 highly cited papers. He holds over 20 patents, has led numerous natural science funds and a series of university-enterprise collaborative projects. He has directed in over 20 building energy-saving diagnosis and retrofitting projects, including the International Commerce Centre (ICC) of Hong Kong and the Beijing Olympic Village’s Low-Energy Demonstration Building. These projects achieved an average energy-saving rate of 20-25%. He was awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the China Installation Association in 2022 and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the Jiangsu Refrigeration Society in 2023

Associate Prof. Dr. Clayton Miller

Dr. Clayton Miller is an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the Department of the Built Environment. He is the creator of the NUS MOOC edX Course – Data Science for Construction, Architecture, and Engineering (https://www.edx.org/course/Data-Science-for-Construction-Architecture-and-Engineering) that has had 30,000+ participants worldwide since April 2020. Dr. Miller’s research focuses on performance data analytics using thousands of real-world case study buildings collected from facilities around the world. .

Tuomas Laine

Tuomas Laine, M.Sc. on energy economy, has led development and innovation work for 12 years at Finnish company Granlund Oy. Currently he is working as Senior Advisor. Through his 30+ years of career he and his team have partnered in 11 EU research projects and several Eureka projects. Main R&D&I interests: sustainability, energy efficiency, building information modeling (BIM), Digital Twins, facilities performance management. Heavy involvement on the development of processes and tools utilizing BIM and open standards through the whole building life cycle: from performance analysis and building services design to commissioning and facilities management.
